For more than 20 years, Joy Martin has been responding to emergencies and disasters in Canada and abroad as a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross. She has supported victims of social emergencies in Nunavut, as well as people affected by hurricane Katrina, the World Trade Centre disaster and the COVID-19 pandemic.
