As a student, Francis Chassé volunteered as a first-aider at school and community events. After graduating, he continued to recruit and train a new generation of first-aid volunteers. He is also the president of the Navy League of Canada Longue-Pointe Branch, where he manages the budget, logistics and community relations, and oversees a team of volunteers.
