Edwin Laird
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Edwin Laird has been a member of the Prince Albert Royal Canadian Legion Branch for over 50 years. He visits veterans at home or in hospital, offering companionship and help to those who need to access support programs. To bring to life our country's military history, he also speaks at schools about his experiences in the Second World War. He has long been active in the wider community, and during his mandate on the local hospital's pastoral care committee a full time chaplain and a native elder were hired and the chapel doubled in size.
