A volunteer for more than 25 years, James Beckett has served as a senior board member of various organizations, and as president of both Engineers Canada and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. He has also held the position of honorary warden during the ritual of awarding iron rings to engineering graduates.
