When Julia Hyett was eight years old, she started volunteering at the Kerr Street Mission, helping families in need in the Oakville community. In Grade 7, she organized a used toy drive for the Philippine Toy Library. She continues to volunteer with Halton Women’s Place, at retirement homes, and with the Oakville Fare Share Food Bank.
