As a volunteer with the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program for more than 30 seasons, Nellie Rhynes assists marginalized people in her community with their annual income tax returns. She has also been involved in multiple community events, such as curling competitions, Canada Day celebrations and the Snow Angel shovelling program for more than a decade.
