A committed environmentalist long before "thinking green" became popular, Lorne Scott has devoted his life to nature conservation in Saskatchewan and across Canada. Actively involved with organizations such as the Wascana Centre Authority, the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation and the Nature Conservancy of Canada, he also served four years as provincial minister of environment and resource management. During his tenure, he significantly strengthened Saskatchewan's environmental policy, and is renowned throughout Western Canada as a staunch defender of wildlife and natural habitats.
