Kathleen Sendall is a role model for women in business and engineering. A former senior executive with Petro-Canada, she has been influential in opening doors for women in the corporate sector. She has also encouraged women to study engineering; she was instrumental in establishing the Chair for Women in Science and Engineering at the University of Calgary, and has participated in various mentoring programs. In addition, many arts, business and professional organizations in her community have benefited from her vision, commitment and leadership.
