A botanist, graphic artist and photographer, by her many activities she has contributed to the protection of Canada's exceptional environment. She is the author of many handbooks for identifying plants and the founder of a group of botanists. She has authored books to help the public understand Canadian flora, and has also encouraged the general population to take part in developing and preserving our ecological heritage.
