She is an inspirational volunteer and role model for young and old alike. For over 50 years, her steadfast commitment to local and provincial organizations has generated new opportunities for women in their communities. Groups such as the Winnipeg YWCA Women's Resource Centre, the Elder Abuse Resource Centre and the Provincial Council of Women of Manitoba have benefited from her thoughtful leadership. She has helped countless women to take a stand, improve their lives and thrive in a community of peers.
