Through his extensive involvement in health care, community services and veterans' affairs he has come to assist a broad spectrum of the people of Nova Scotia. During his long and respected career as Deputy Minister of Health, he influenced the direction of government health policies, and his knowledge and experience have been of great assistance to a number of community organizations, including the Red Cross, the St. John Ambulance Society and the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires.
