An extraordinary volunteer, he has been helping people with visual impairments for more than fifty years. His swimming classes, which he started in the 1950s, have given many the opportunity to exercise and build their self confidence. He has been the driving force behind this unique program which has grown steadily over the years and which has become an integral part of life in his community.
