He has been an inspiration, in the Rimouski area, to young people interested in religious studies. For thirty-five years, he has been a professor at the Grand Séminaire, the Centre d'études universitaires and the Université du Québec. Several of his works have been translated into foreign languages and are used in universities around the globe. As a history enthusiast and a great heritage advocate, he has, throughout his career, communicated to his students and fellow citizens a sense of pride in their region and country.
