Her perseverance and deep convictions have made this educator a force to contend with in the defence of the rights of Franco-Albertans. She has initiated many Francophone projects and institutions, including Alberta's first publicly-funded French school. Later, she played an important role as a member of a task force which recommended a model of governance for French schools in the province. This resulted in the creation of Francophone school boards in Alberta. Her voluntarism also takes the form of participation in numerous sociocultural organizations within her community.
