One of Canada's leading contemporary composers, Malcolm Forsyth has become an integral element of our cultural milieu. Synthesizing his South African roots with his New World experience, he has produced a body of work that is joyfully simple while remaining true to his creative vision. As a talented trombonist, he has entertained audiences as a member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. While a professor at the University of Alberta, he also mentored many musicians who are now enjoying successful careers in their own right.
