As an educator and public servant, he demonstrated professionalism and unwavering dedication to education in his roles as Chair of the Royal Commission of Enquiry into Education and later as Deputy Minister of Education. He played a pivotal role in spearheading and implementing reforms in Newfoundland and Labrador. A recently retired Professor at Memorial University, he continues to serve his community as a volunteer with several charitable and health care organizations.
