A violinist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and co-founder of the Strings Across the Sky program, she has developed teaching methods for introducing music instruction by video to children in remote areas. She frequently visits the western Arctic, where she gives free lessons with donated instruments, helping the children there rediscover the art of fiddling - part of their cultural heritage.
