Highly respected for his wise counsel, he has used his skills as a lawyer and negotiator to help resolve a number of Aboriginal issues. As a community leader, he has given selflessly of his time and talents to many organizations, including the Council for Canadian Unity and the Canadian Jewish Congress. In addition, he has taken on challenging leadership positions with the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, the McGill University Health Centre, and the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation.
