Throughout her career she left an indelible impression on New Brunswick's education system through her leadership, sense of fairness and dynamic energy. The first woman in the province's history to be appointed to the executive of a school district, she was able to create an environment in which the two official language communities could work in harmony. Now retired, she continues to contribute to the public good through her social activism at the regional, provincial and national levels on behalf of a multitude of socio-community organizations.
