His extensive clinical research on the treatment of joint injuries has permitted athletes to return to their sports and other individuals to resume physical activities without pain. Determined to provide opportunities for all sports-minded people, he was a founding member of the Wheelchair Sports Association of Canada and the driving force behind North America's first Olympiad for the Physically Disabled.
