He has been a community and business leader in Saskatchewan for fifty years. His interest in education and youth led to his involvement with the Olympic Trust of Canada and the University of Saskatchewan, where his administrative experience, acquired in the family business, proved invaluable. As a member of the Board of Governors, he worked diligently to establish links between the university and the wider community of Saskatoon, where he is held in high regard by the city's residents.
