A pioneer in the film industry in Western Canada, she has shared her artistic talents as a writer, broadcaster, performer, film maker, director, producer and teacher. Her unique body of work reflects the Canadian experience of the human condition and has earned many honours, including the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Festival of Canadian Films.
