Former editor of the St. John Evening Telegram and long-time chronicler of Newfoundland's history and development, he has devoted a lifetime to deepening our awareness of this province's unique evolution. His many poems, commentaries and lectures have enriched the recorded history of his region and contributed to the preservation of its culture and heritage.
