An art dealer, critic and scholar, he has created a lively and supportive milieu for Canadian contemporary artists and has launched and nurtured the careers of more than forty visual artists. He was among the first to exhibit Inuit work as an authentic art form. His gallery is a major distribution and promotion centre for the finest Inuit carvings, prints and artifacts. Dedicated to Canadian culture, he is also steadfast in his support of poets, dancers, writers and musicians.
