An outstanding clinical cardiologist and medical scientist, he has devoted his life to the pursuit of excellence in his clinical practice, teaching and research and has contributed a great deal both locally and internationally to the general field of cardiac diseases. Despite carrying a heavy workload as Head of Cardiology at the National Defence Medical Centre in Ottawa, he has been unstinting in the time and personal concern he has devoted to his patients.
