Her enthusiasm for life and keen sense of community involvement have had a tremendous impact on young and old alike as, despite her visual disability, she served as a nurse's aid and volunteer for many years and continues to win numerous medals in swimming and track and field Masters competitions throughout the world. Canada's oldest female athlete and a participant for over 60 years in the annual Vancouver Polar Bear Swim, she is dedicated to promoting fitness and embodies the hopes and aspirations of us all.
