A scientist of international repute, he has been credited with the synthetic creation of the transfer RNA molecule which has been used in the development of several drugs to treat various diseases, including AIDS. Vice-President, Academic, at Acadia University, his excellent work as a researcher, teacher and administrator is an encouragement to future generations in their scientific endeavours.
