Living in Northern Ontario, this extremely popular cartoonist created the daily comic strip "For Better or For Worse", an insightful and humorous look at family relationships. The strip appears in more than seven hundred newspapers worldwide and is translated into several languages. She is the first woman and the first Canadian to receive the prestigious Reuben Award for "Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year".
