Canada's top railway photographer, he is well known for his photographs in the mountains of Alberta and British Columbia documenting the evolution of the Canadian rail industry. His works are displayed on Canadian currency and postage stamps and a favorite subject, a stretch of track east of Lake Louise, is commonly called Morant's Curve in his honour.
