For over forty years she has been ministering with kindness and generosity to the health needs, from birth to burial, of the remote communities of Newfoundland's Southern Shore. Serving at various times as midwife, undertaker and veterinarian, she would appear at any time of the day or night in all kinds of weather to deliver a baby, bandage a wound or settle a fever. Now "semi- retired", with medical bag packed, she is still prepared for any emergency.
