A prominent figure in Prince Edward Island, he was a long-time newspaper publisher and a former Executive Director of the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Under his guidance, the Centre strengthened its ties with the community and launched a number of successful programs and national tours. In addition, he brought his leadership skills and drive for success to numerous fundraising campaigns. He is best known for his involvement with the 1991 Canada Winter Games, the Peter Gzowski Golf Tournament for Literacy and the University of Prince Edward Island.
