This renowned baritone has contributed to the growth and influence of opera and of music in general. He began his career in Italy and won accolades on the world's leading stages, such as London's Covent Garden. He is also an ardent promoter and defender of the arts. Having spearheaded the creation of numerous cultural institutions such as the Opéra de Montréal and the Orchestre Métropolitain du Grand Montréal, he has also made a significant contribution to the development of the arts in the city of Lachine. In addition, he has shared his talents with students in various North American universities, given free voice lessons and established introductory music workshops for children.
