For the last 50 years Frederick Ross has contributed to the rich social realist tradition of Saint John artists with his vision of Atlantic Canada and its people. His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries across the country, including the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and The National Gallery of Canada. He is also a teacher and mentor to young and aspiring painters and is known for his great generosity with other artists. Endowed with a strong sense of civic duty, he donates his pieces to community organizations to assist with fundraising activities.
