This trade unionist has defended workers' rights for over 35 years. Respected by all sides, this man of conviction has often lent his expertise to the provincial government. He is also immediate past president of the Canadian Merchant Navy Veterans Association, in which capacity he played a key role in resolving the longstanding struggle for official recognition of their contribution to the war effort. Professionalism has been the hallmark of his long career and he has always done his part to ensure recognition of the dignity and contribution of his peers.
