President of The Body Shop Canada, she opened the first store in 1980 and has since helped Canada to grow into one of the top markets for The Body Shop International. Her record of social activism is equally impressive. She has engaged the retail chain in campaigns for human rights and animal protection. She has raised public awareness of violence against women, self-esteem and body image issues. As well, she has fostered her company's reputation for environmental activism through initiatives that support endangered species legislation, promote recycling and bring awareness to climate change.
