A multidisciplinary artist, he has created a number of cinematic masterpieces, including I Killed My Mother, Mommy, and It’s Only the End of the World. His avant-garde approach to gender and sexuality has earned him critical and public acclaim. With a long list of honours, he has won more awards at the Cannes Film Festival than any other Québécois writer-director.
