Recognized as a leading academic administrator, Max Blouw has advocated tirelessly for comprehensive and evidence-based research in Canadian universities. The former vice-president of research at the University of Northern British Columbia and the former president and vice-chancellor of Wilfrid Laurier University, he undertook major projects that contributed to the development and expansion of both institutions. Chair of multiple government initiatives, he is the founding director of the National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health, an organization supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis public health renewal and equity.
