The talent of this composer and performer has been recognized here and in France since the early 1970s. He is one of Quebec's brightest stars, having given voice to and furthered the stylistic development of Francophone singing. A pioneer, he proved that it is possible to produce rock music in French. A businessman and writer when the occasion so requires, he continues to be "a great singer who is just an ordinary guy" for his many fans.
