Mr. Gordon joined the Steel Company of Canada as a mechanical engineer and steadily advanced in the company to become its president and, in the past decade, chairman and chief executive officer. His voluntary work has been many-sided, involving McMaster University, the Olympic Trust, the National Council of Christians and Jews, the YMCA, the Heart Foundation, the Boys Clubs of Canada and numerous Toronto-area organizations.
