He was the deputy chief of police of Sudbury, Ont., and has generously assisted many service clubs in his region in their community endeavours. He has also held executive positions at the local,, provincial and zone levels of the Royal Canadian Legion and organized the Centennial celebrations and the Canada Day festival in Sudbury.
