One of the first documentary film makers in Québec, this former associate professor of agriculture at Laval University was a founding member of the National Film Board and of the Service ciné- photographie du Québec. A resident of La Pocatière, Québec, he has made an unsurpassed contribution to Québec's film heritage by producing and directing a significant number of films spanning the years from the Depression to the Quiet Revolution.
