Mastermind of the Montreal Canadiens' nine Stanley Cups between 1965 and 1978, his contribution to hockey has been extensive. From his early work in the minor league system, through his years in Montreal, to governorship in the National and American leagues and to major involvement with our national and Olympic teams, he has been a major force in the development of hockey in Canada.
