Claude St-Laurent has devoted his career to the evolution of French-language print and broadcast journalism in Canada. At La Presse, he promoted the expansion of political and international coverage. As information programs director at Société Radio-Canada, he brought modern and stringent journalistic policies to the news service. He made numerous innovations, driving the creation of the Réseau de l'information (RDI) and several public affairs programs, and introducing daily special programs covering hot topics of the day.
