Kenneth Maybee was a strong contributor to improved respiratory health. President and CEO of the New Brunswick Lung Association for over 17 years, he spearheaded several initiatives that transformed the association into a national leader in public education and in advocacy for clean air. He was the former chair of Smoke-Free New Brunswick and former co-chair of a national air quality management committee, which developed a health-based air quality index that is in widespread use across Canada. He was also an active volunteer in his local community of Fredericton.
The insignia will be presented to his spouse, Mrs. Joan Maybee.
