Marietta Orlov was a pre-eminent leader in the field of music education in Canada. She was a distinguished professor of piano performance in the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto and at the Glenn Gould Studio of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Acclaimed for her wide-ranging musical repertoire, she was a devoted mentor to some of our country’s most accomplished musicians. Her dedication to the musical careers and aspirations of her students left an indelible mark on Canadian music culture.
