Chief executive of professional tennis of the United States Tennis Association, she was the first woman to be appointed tournament director of the U.S. Open. As former president, chair and CEO of the Women’s Tennis Association, she was instrumental in the financial growth of women’s tennis on an international scale, notably securing equal prize money for female players at all the Grand Slam events.
