J. Roger Léveillé is one of the most influential contemporary figures in the literary history of French speaking Manitoba. A multidisciplinary writer, he has published over 30 works in a wide variety of genres, including novels and poetry. Additionally an essayist, journalist, radio presenter and producer, he has helped modern Franco-Manitoban literature to flourish across Canada and internationally. He has also invigorated the artistic production of western Canada through his active mentorship and tireless community involvement, supporting the cultural enrichment of Canada and the Francophonie.
