Master Warrant Officer Bolen is recognized for his outstanding leadership and professionalism as the sergeant-major for Patrol Company, Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team, during Operation ARCHER, Rotation 0, from May 2005 to February 2006. His guidance was instrumental in the successful establishment of Canada’s first provincial reconstruction team and in the initial deployment of Canadian soldiers into an extremely demanding operational environment.
