In 1992, Lorne Mayencourt founded Vancouver Friends For Life Society -- a non-profit organization that provides support to individuals suffering from life-threatening illnesses and also assists elderly persons and people with disabilities. Mr. Mayencourt is a committed individual whose compassion and perseverance have enriched the lives of many Canadians. Due to his dedication and the Society's tremendous success, a spacious facility was purchased in 1995 -- known as "Weeks House", for which Mr. Mayencourt personally raised more than half a million dollars.
