Retired RCMP assistant commissioner Russell Mirasty has devoted himself to improving his home province of Saskatchewan. Known as a relationship-builder and pathfinder, he helped lead an evaluation of the provincial education system. He facilitated meaningful dialogue with students, parents and educators, and navigated difficult subjects such as bullying and the impacts of residential schools to craft meaningful recommendations that have since been implemented across the province.
